Wolff earns CUCE recertification
Fred Wolff, risk management and compliance manager with First Community Credit Union, recently earned his Credit Union Compliance Expert Recertification.
The original CUCE Certification entails webinar training along with compliance training modules to be reviewed in six areas: 1) Deposit Account Regulations, 2) General Operations Regulations,
3) Consumer Lending Regulations, 4) Mortgage Lending Regulations, 5) NCUA Requirements and Guidance and 6) Successful Compliance Program Management. This certification lasts three years, at which time Wolff needed to re-test to maintain certification. During the recertification, Wolff was required to take one test, which encompassed all six areas he was previously tested on, but at a more proficient level.
Wolff has been with FCCU since March of 2012. As the risk management and compliance manager, Wolff is responsible for managing compliance regulations, as well as developing and maintaining risk management practices at FCCU. Wolff is located at FCCU's administrative office located at 310 10th St. SE in Jamestown.
"With increased regulation the past several years, having an experienced compliance professional is invaluable to our credit union," said Stephanie Finck, chief operations officer. "Fred has been such an asset to our team as the regulatory environment continues to change. His successful recertification displays his commitment to his personal development along with his commitment to ensure compliance within our organization."
