Conlin's Furniture in Jamestown will close its doors, according to Justin Brown, sales manager for the store.
"The store has been a pillar of the community for more than 40 years," he said. "Now it's closing."
The history of the business listed on the Conlin's Furniture website said the Jamestown store opened in 1960 and was the second in the chain after the Bismarck operations that began in 1958. The Jamestown and Aberdeen stores are closing due to the retirement of the owner of the store chain, Brown said.
Brown said no final date has been set for the closing.
"Until we sell out, it's day-to-day," he said. "Probably sell out over the next several weeks."
Conlin's employed about 15 people.
