Bison World meetings this week in Jamestown

Planners of the Bison World project will meet with local officials this week in Jamestown to review updated plans for the project.

A series of meetings is planned this week to reveal the finalized plans for the Bison World project, according to the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp.

Meetings include the JSDC, Jamestown Tourism and the Jamestown City Council as well as possible representatives of state agencies and are planned over three days.

Discussions will include an updated physical plan for the theme and cultural park planned for southwest Jamestown. Preliminary cost estimates are about $72 million, and construction could begin this spring if financing can be secured.

Information on planned sponsorships and investments in the park are also on the agenda.
