Correctional Officer Brad Carlson was chosen as employee of the month for May for the James River Correctional Center. Carlson has been assigned to the Special Assistance Unit and fulfills his duties with a calm and professional approach.
The JRCC said he demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations. He is not afraid to take on any task assigned to him, completing the task to the best of his ability. Carlson is often called upon to assist in other areas and does so with a positive attitude. He was chosen for the award due to his positive attitude and his contributions to the JRCC.
