First Community Credit Union received a CAMEO Award (Card Marketing Award) at the Card Services for Credit Unions' 2010 Annual Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., in April. FCCU was awarded the First Place Award in the Youth Marketing category. This award recognizes and rewards the credit union that has the most creative and resourceful credit and debit card youth marketing campaign of the year.

CSCU created the CAMEOs to honor the work of credit unions that create successful marketing campaigns. This program allows other credit unions to see success stories in the industry and how to implement them to impact their own bottom line.

FCCU submitted their award based on their First Advantage Reward program and their Battle of the Bands event held in August 2009.

"It's an honor to win this award," said Stephanie Finck, FCCU operations manager. "We are proud of the effort we put forth to provide services to members of all ages. It can be challenging to reach out to that age group, and for us to receive an award for our drive in that particular category is a privilege."
