Nine providers from Innovis Health were awarded with the North Dakota Diabetes Care Provider Achievement Award for excellence in patient management. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, in cooperation with the North Dakota Department of Health Diabetes Prevention and Control Program, sponsors the annual awards given each spring.
Award winners from this area were: Scott Rowe and Linda Regan, both of Innovis Jamestown; and Fredrick Mitzel, Innovis Valley City.
The award is based on American Diabetes Association Guidelines. Providers who had four or more patients with diabetes and who met specific achievement goals in 2009 received the awards.
