The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce will begin a new event called "Socialize, Talk, Interact, Remember," or S.T.I.R, that is designed to invite members of the community inside a participating business to learn more about what it does and network with other professionals in Jamestown.
Any chamber member business can host a S.T.I.R. event. Those participating are encouraged to have refreshments and appetizers available during the event that runs from 4:30 6 p.m. During this time, individuals can socialize with those attending, talk to those they haven’t met before, interact with members of the business and remember what they do for our community.
Another exciting portion of S.T.I.R. will be two yearly events in the spring and again in the fall. These S.T.I.R market events will encourage up to six businesses to come together in one location where attendees will be encouraged to participate and learn more about those businesses.
The S.T.I.R. markets are designed for smaller businesses. Whether it’s a small employee count, a smaller space that doesn’t allow for a networking event or those with no storefront, these markets will be a cheaper cost for those businesses that qualify and give them the same opportunity bigger businesses have.
The first S.T.I.R. market event is planned for April 27 at the Gladstone Inn & Suites.
