IOWA CITY, Iowa — RoleCall , an Iowa-based talent attraction and community and economic development agency, announced the hiring of Alyssa Lakoduk as its new director of strategy and community onboarding.
RoleCall was co-founded by former ICR Iowa Director of Talent Attraction Tim Carty and former Livability.com Editor in Chief Winona Dimeo-Ediger in 2020. Its projects included the North Dakota Department of Commerce’s “ Find the Good Life ” campaign.
“As a native North Dakotan, Alyssa brings deep knowledge and insight to our team and the Find the Good Life campaign,” said Dimeo-Ediger. “As the national talent race accelerates, fresh perspectives like Alyssa’s will be instrumental to helping cities and towns — from the Heartland to the coasts — attract newcomers and retain residents long-term.”
Lakoduk, a Carrington native, will work behind the scenes to help build and optimize effective and supportive paths into North Dakota’s communities for new residents via the state’s Relocation Help Desk. She will also lead WayFinders, the company’s national community onboarding program that helps chambers of commerce and economic development organizations activate current residents and get newcomers connected and engaged.
“From a young age, my family moved often around North Dakota’s rural communities, affording me the opportunity to deeply explore our state’s unique, albeit often-overlooked cultural fabric,” Lakoduk said. “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to build on the successes of Find the Good Life and look forward to supporting Find the Good Life as it aims to help new communities welcome newcomers of their own, here in North Dakota and beyond.”

She is a 2021 graduate of the Leadership North Dakota program.
Lakoduk holds a Bachelor of Public Relations and Advertising from North Dakota State University and has completed the coursework for a master's in educational leadership.
