The Highway 2 West Manufacturers’ Association is focusing its upcoming Dec. 12 general membership meeting on strategies that manufacturers can use to increase their workload without hiring additional employees. Tim Eggert, owner and president of Sheyenne Tooling & Manufacturing, will speak on this topic, specifically addressing how his company’s increased focus on material and information flow has positively impacted throughput – and how other manufacturers can do the same. Dave Lehman from the North Dakota Department of Commerce will also share the many workforce development resources that his organization has to offer manufacturers. The meeting will be hosted by Sheyenne Tooling & Manufacturing and will take place at their corporate office on Burrel Avenue in Cooperstown.
Meeting registration will start at 11 a.m. with lunch at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will officially begin at 11:30 a.m., with presentations from Eggert and Lehman starting at 12:10 p.m. The meeting will adjourn at 1:15 p.m., followed by an optional tour of Sheyenne Tooling & Manufacturing at 1:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather on Dec. 12, the meeting will be rescheduled to Tuesday, Dec. 17.
