Mary Voigt Photography has located just north of Jamestown.
Mary Voigt said she returned to Jamestown after living in Richardton, N.D., for about five years because she enjoys the community. She had continued providing photography services in the Jamestown area even after moving to Richardton, she said.
“Working with the Jamestown area with the people and the coaches have brought me back here,” she said.
Voigt is a professional photographer who has worked for 22 years in the field. She is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. A member of the Professional Photography of America, she is a three-time international merit award winner for her work through PPA, she said.
Voigt provides a number of photo services including senior portraits, weddings, babies, family portraits, kids, reunions, animals, commercial, real estate and rancher/farmer photography.

Voigt also sells art pieces, which are landscapes, to businesses.
During a time when most people have a cellphone capable of taking pictures, Voigt says the difference in using her professional photography services is that she services fine art, uses professional equipment and works with professional labs.
“The quality of that print is going to last way more than just a regular print on paper,” she said.
Voigt said she can help people who have taken pictures with their cellphone and want them edited or in a portfolio, album or prints. She can also help people with photos that are cracked or with fading or distorted color.
She offers a number of products including Christmas or graduation cards, senior signs, vinyl banners, large canvas prints and can place images on a variety of products.
“There is so much product that we personally can put our customers’ orders on or their own artwork on,” she said.
Voigt also offers the Parents Sport Program, where parents can hire her to take pictures of their athlete for one to three games per season. They can then choose up to six images to put into a sport collage.
Voigt encourages juniors and sophomores to start booking their senior portrait photos now.

Mary Voigt Photography is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment Saturday and is closed Sunday.
