All hay bales on North Dakota highway rights of way must be removed by Friday, Nov. 1, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
Any bales on highway rights of way after that date will be removed at the direction of DOT district engineers. The bales need to be removed for snow management and safety concerns. Large round bales must not be placed on the in-slope of the right of way or within 60 feet of the outside edge of the driving lane.
