At the 2022 North Dakota School Boards Association Annual Convention, Montpelier Public School Board member Scott Harms was recognized with a Veteran Board Member Award.
The North Dakota School Boards Association recognizes board members for participation in leadership activities at the state and national level, in addition to exemplary work on their local board. The award program, based on a point system, is designed to encourage school board members to take advantage of a wide range of training opportunities and to incorporate what they have learned into their local school board service.
The North Dakota School Boards Association serves public school districts across the state of North Dakota. NDSBA provides support to local school board members through professional development, resources and legislative advocacy.
