NDSU Extension’s Energizing Entrepreneurs conference is designed for anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur or support entrepreneurs in rural communities. The event will be in Oakes, N.D., from May 7 at noon to May 8 at noon, to hear inspiring stories and lessons learned from area entrepreneurs and business experts.
Keynotes and breakout sessions will be held in local businesses around Oakes, not in a convention hall. Sessions will provide resources and best practices to starting and operating your own business in a rural community. The cost to register for the conference is $55 (this includes three meals and $10 in Oakes Bucks to be used at your discretion).
Keynote speakers are Edie Ramstad, Ada, Minn., founder of Weave Got Maille, a manufacturer of chain maille supplies, and Scott Bintz, Jamestown, founder of RealTruck.com.
