At the recent North Dakota School Boards Association’s Annual Convention, delegates elected Jamestown Public School Board member Robert Toso as southeast director on the association’s board of directors. Toso will be serving with Karl Lembke, Bismarck, president; Patti Stedman, West Fargo, vice president; Holly Stromsodt, Finley-Sharon, past president; Jim Rostad, Minot, northwest director; Steve Halldorson, Devils Lake, northeast director; and Lucas Greff, Mott/Regent, southwest director.
Toso is a lifelong resident of North Dakota, graduating from Valley City State University and then earning a master’s in educational administration from North Dakota State University. He has served many North Dakota school districts in the role of teacher, principal, activities director, assistant superintendent and superintendent. Currently, he is serving as superintendent at Pingree-Buchanan.
After retiring as Jamestown superintendent, Toso ran for the school board and is currently in his second term. He is a member of the Education Standards and Practices Board as a school board representative.
