The Roaming Buffalo camping club met Jan. 19 at the Otter Tail Community Room with Vice President Tom Ravely presiding. Secretary's, treasurer's and committee reports were made. A discussion on club dues led to a motion to increase annual dues to $10. This was seconded and passed.
North Dakota and club conservation and wildlife directors Howard and Carol Oppegard resigned after many years of service.
Sherry McGuire, Cindy Willey and Jeanette Srozinksi delivered items collected this last year to the food pantry. Some members attended the wintervention held at the Quality Inn in Jamestown on Feb. 3-5. About 30 members met at Grizzly's for a meal. State Assistant Director Gerry Pfirsch attended and provided some information.
The next meeting and potluck will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Jamestown Park and Recreation building, 1002 Second Ave. SE.
Members are encouraged to bring ideas for camping this summer to the meeting as the board will met before the March meeting to make a tentative schedule to be voted on by members.
