The Stutsman County Museum is open for the season but no Front Porch Chats are planned this year due to continuing COVID concerns. They are expected to resume in 2022.

The museum's board of directors is planning to hold the annual ice cream social unless there is a COVID flare-up. Patrons will be encouraged to sit on the lawn and to congregate in the museum as little as possible. All outside activities will depend on the weather. The details will be decided at a later date.

People are encouraged to visit the museum, which has items on display that were previously "hidden away" in drawers or closets. The museum is in the process of conducting a museum wide inventory and has reorganized some of the collection.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. on weekends. The museum also has an after-hours "Murder at the Museum" experience that can be scheduled for small groups for a nominal fee.
