Barnes County North holds blood drive
The blood drive was held for Vitalant.
Barnes County North School hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on May 8 at Barnes County North School which helped collect a total of 26 units of blood products for patients in need.
Twenty-seven individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 20 individuals were able to donate at the drive. Four donors gave Power Red Cells, where two units of red blood cells are collected while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. One person volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to John Samuelson, who coordinated the drive, the student council, which sponsored the blood drive, and Barnes County North School for providing the location.
