Highlights: 10 a.m., Round Robin contest; 1 p.m., gates, food concessions and midway opens; 1:30 p.m., weiner dog races; 4 p.m., Parade of Champions; 6:30 p.m., James River Rodeo Inc. performance; 8 p.m., release of all animals; 8:30 p.m., release of static exhibits; 8 p.m., Out of Line band on stage.

Sunday, July 3

Adult Children of Alcoholics, 7 p.m., 518 10th Ave. SE.


Front Porch Chat, 2 p.m., Stutsman County Museum, 321 3rd Ave. SE. Tim Burchill will speak on "Strung Up: North Dakota’s Last Lynching, Revisited." Free admission.

Monday, July 4

Great American 4th of July Kiddie Bike Parade, 10 a.m., on First Avenue. Participants assemble at 9:30 a.m. at 1st Street West parking lot near the railroad tracks in front of Gun & Reel Sports. Parade proceeds south on First Avenue to Eighth Street, then to 2nd Avenue Southeast to McElroy Park.
