The 22nd annual "Christmas in July" motorcycle run took place Saturday, July 20, at the Anne Carlsen Center, an event raising money for the children and young adults that call the center home, according to Steven Rezac, director of marketing for all Anne Carlsen locations in North Dakota and Minnesota.
"It was a wonderful turnout," Rezac said. " The great weather made the event all the better since the kids could come outside and see the bikers arrive."
The event was hosted by the Jamestown Ladies and Men's Individuals Motorcycle Club. Over 100 bikers traveled through downtown Jamestown and onto the campus of the Anne Carlsen Center, stopping to join the staff, residents and the residents' families for a luncheon featuring barbecue pork sandwiches and a variety of flavored cookies.
"Some of the older kids look forward to seeing the bike members return and know many of them for some years," Rezac said. "It means a lot for the kids, parents and staff of Anne Carlsen that the community is continually connected to each other."
The Anne Carlsen Center's staff, accompanied by Santa Claus, distributed Christmas presents to the residents as they ate lunch. "We are all part of the same community," Rezac said.

Anne Carlsen has locations in Bismarck, Fargo, Moorhead, Grand Forks, Minot, Devils Lake, Bottineau, as well as Jamestown. "Many people across North Dakota think that Anne Carlsen is only in Jamestown," Rezac said.
