Halloween events
Eighth annual Trunk or Treat, Victory Lutheran Church, 510 Ninth Ave. SW. Event is for children ages 0-12 and parents. Starting at 6 p.m., hot chocolate, hot dogs, coffee and chili; 6 to 7 p.m., carnival games in the Fellowship Hall for all ages; 7 p.m., parking lot at church will have cars with open trunks with treats to hand out to children.
Buffalo Mall trick or treating, 5 to 7 p.m.
Youth for Christ Halloween party for youth in grades 6-12 with games, prizes and dinner, 3:30 p.m.; meal begins at 5 p.m.

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," the Halloween Family Fair, 5 to 7 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 523 Fourth Ave. SE; hot dogs, chips, vegetables, apples begins at 5 p.m. (freewill offering); trick or treat parade begins at 6 p.m.
Frontier Village Treat Night, 5 to 7 p.m. for children; showing of "Nightmare on Elm Street," 8 to 10 p.m. at the Village amphitheater.
'Slime Time' Fall Fest party, 5 to 6:30 p.m. for children age preschool to sixth grade and families; carnival games, prizes, candy and concessions at First Assembly of God.
