Donations sought for community food and supply drive

JSSP Donations benefits

Hope Church in Jamestown is holding a community food and supply drive from April 12-17. The church is seeking donations of nonperishable food items and household cleaning supplies to distribute to the Jamestown community.

People are asked to consider purchasing extra items on their next shopping trip or checking their pantry for items to do hate. People who have someone in their household who is ill or recently been ill are asked not to donate. The church plans to sanitize all donated items as much as possible.

Donations may be dropped off from 3 to 7 p.m. April 12-17 at Hope Church, located at 1201 6th Ave. SE. After the donation phase is complete, items will be equally divided into packages for distribution at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at 424 4th Ave. NE. Community members can do a drive-through pickup of items. Individuals who are unable to leave their home will have items delivered. There is a limit of one package per household. Any leftover items will be donated to food pantries.
