Events planned at 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse

Family-friendly outdoor concerts and a civics presentation are planned for June

The public is invited to attend free family-friendly outdoor concerts and a civics presentation in July at the Stutsman County Courthouse State Historic Site, 504 3rd Ave. SE, Jamestown.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair as seating will not be provided. In the event of inclement weather the events will be moved indoors.

Events at the Stutsman County Courthouse State Historic Site in July include:

  • July 9: Concert on the Lawn: Terry and Linda Schwartz and guests, 1 p.m. The Schwartzes, local musicians and poets will be showcasing their original works.
  • July 16: Civics and the Law: City of Jamestown Patrol Officer, 1 p.m.A patrol officer will discuss day-to-day activities and how those relate to his civic duties.
  • July 23: Concert on the Lawn: Grant Invie, 1 p.m. A singer-songwriter from Moorhead, Minnesota, Invie performs classic country music with hints of gospel and rock 'n' roll, creating an engaging experience for all ages.

The Stutsman County Courthouse is a state historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The site is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and is closed Monday and Tuesday. For more information, visit or call 701-328-1883.
