Free Lunch and Learn Financial Workshops planned in March

They are open to 20 people.

JSSP Events and Happenings

Four free Lunch and Learn Financial Workshops are coming to Jamestown in March.
As an alumnus from the Change Network, Cassie DuBray was awarded a Bush Foundation grant to bring workshops to help develop and sustain a financial plan for now and the future using achievable goals and local community agency partners. By offering these financial success workshops, the goal is to help households under the 80% AMI (area median income) achieve more financial security.
A partnership with the Change Network, Great Plains Housing Authority, NDSU Extension Stutsman County and Erin Paulson, financial adviser, Edward Jones, is bringing the community a series of four educational financial seminars which will help community households prepare for now and the future.
Free community workshops are scheduled to help community households set goals, plan for large purchases, save for emergencies, shop smarter, and outsmart scammers. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Workshops will be held on Tuesdays, March 8, 15, 22 and 29 at Babbs Coffee House in the main floor meeting room from noon to 1 p.m.
Additional sponsorships are welcome to help defray costs and be able to provide information and supplies to the attendees.
A catered lunch will be provided by Classic Catering by the James River Senior Center. People may enter to win a 9th Gen 64GB Ipad. There will be one giveaway per week. The winner must attend the workshop and can only win once.
Registration is required and is open to the first 20 individuals.
Register online at www.greatplainsha.com or call 701-252-1098 ( GPHA ) or 701-252-9030 (NDSU Extension Stutsman County).
