DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- An education watchdog panel has fined and suspended a former Dickinson High School French teacher for breech of contract.
The Dickinson Press reports that Heather Hertz signed a contract to teach French at the high school but has taken a job as superintendent at the high school in nearby Glen Ullin.
The Dickinson High School is now without a French teacher.
The Education Standards and Practice Board this month fined Hertz $1,000 and suspended her teaching license for 30 days.
Hertz will not be paid during the 30 days that her license is suspended. Glen Ullin High School also had to hire a part time superintendent during those 30 days.
