Ten members of TOPS ND 312, Jamestown, attended North Dakota’s TOPS State Recognition Days on May 15-16 at Baymont Inn & Suites, Mandan, N.D. The theme of the event was “Welcome To The Wild West!” Kelli Larson is the TOPS state coordinator who welcomed everyone.
Members of TOPS 312 presented the skit “Yee-Haw” with audience participation which was featured in a January 1999 TOPS Magazine.
Other events at the program included a CJ Banks Style Show with TOPS members participating and guest speaker Tres Hatch on “Binges and Cravings.” Saturday’s program included presentation of state royalty and state division winners who shared their success stories. Also recognized were new Keep Off Pounds Sensibly members including Jackie Readel and DeLila Everson from Jamestown. Other Jamestown KOPS members present at the event include Arlene Bitterman, Grace Steele and LaVina Kleese.
Next year’s State Recognition Days will be at the Baymont Inn at Fargo May 13-14.
A skit was presented by TOPS 312 (Mary Geffre, Arlene Bitterman, Dorothy Speidel, Marlys Wiest and Carla Willey) inviting everyone to next year’s event. Geffre is the leader for TOPS 312, Jamestown.
TOPS 312 meets every Thursday with weigh-in from 8 to 9 a.m. with a meeting to follow at the Salvation Army basement.
Visitors are welcome to attend.
