James River Senior Center serves meals Monday through Friday at noon at Center I and 11:30 a.m. at Gardenette and James House, and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Streeter Senior Center in Streeter.

Meal cost: suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older; $6.75 for those under 60. Reserve at least one day in advance by calling 252-2882.

Frozen meals are also available for people over 60 in Stutsman County.


Monday: meatloaf, boiled potato, cream style corn, strawberry shortcake


Tuesday: swiss steak, whipped potato with marg, wax beans, chilled apricot halves

Wednesday: chicken broccoli bake, tangy coleslaw, pineapple in gelatin

Thursday: baked pork chop, whipped potato with gravy, broccoli cuts, chilled peach halves

Friday: oven baked chicken, baked potato with sour cream, diced beets, cranberry crisp with topping

*100 percent whole wheat bread, margarine, milk and coffee are served with all meals

Wednesday: 9:30-11:45 a.m., foot care; 11 p.m., bingo

Thursday: 9 a.m.-10 a.m., bone builders; 10:30 a.m., hearing loss support group; 1 p.m.-3 p.m., freedom resources presents-Be Scam Smart; 2:10 p.m., free 10 minute senior massage
