James River Senior Center serves meals Monday through Friday at noon at Center I and 11:30 a.m. at Gardenette and James House, and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Streeter Senior Center in Streeter.

Meal cost: suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older; $6.75 for those under 60. Reserve at least one day in advance by calling 252-2882.

Frozen meals are also available for people over 60 in Stutsman County.


Monday: bbq chicken, oven browned potato, baked squash, royal anne cherries


Tuesday: pepper onion steak, whipped potato with gravy, mixed vegetables, orange/pineapple cup

Wednesday: creamed turkey over baking powder biscuit, green peas, tossed salad with dressing, fresh fruit cup

Thursday: Closed Thanksgiving Day

Friday: polish sausage, baby red potato, french cut beans, cherry pie

*100 percent whole wheat bread, margarine, milk and coffee are served with all meals

Hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Monday: 9 a.m.-10 a.m., bone builders; 2:10 p.m., free 10 minute senior massage; 4:30 p.m., bingo; 5 p.m., supper

Tuesday: 1 p.m., pinochle; 1:30 p.m., Bible study; NO retired teachers at 11:30

Wednesday: 9:30-11:45 a.m., foot care; 11 p.m., bingo

Thursday: Closed Thanksgiving Day

Friday: 1 p.m., pinochle

Saturday: quilters

Gardenette activities
