The Blue Jays placed second in the team division for both middle school and high school. JHS Freshman Dovud Sulaymonov earned runner-up status in the high school individual division, just missing the opportunity to represent North Dakota at the national scholastic chess tournament. Sulaymonov won four out of the five chess matches played, the most victories at the state chess tournament by a Jamestown member.
