Jamestown Middle School students were chosen for two music events.
On Feb. 4-5, four students were selected to participate in the North Dakota American Choral Director’s Association's Honors Choir. Braelon Geerdes, Miah Tyson and Eden Ellingsen were selected for the mixed choir, and Shelby Dunwoody was selected for the treble choir.
On Nov. 5-6, students also participated in the Northwest Music Festival in Minot. The students chosen were Geerdes, Tyson and Sophie Bratton.
At these events, the students worked with outstanding guest conductors and other students throughout the state for two days, said Heather Aune, JMS director of choirs. At the end of their time together, they presented their work in a public performance.
