Brady Krueger and Milan Martin work together to spray paint the stenciled message "Keep it clean, drains to river" in southeast Jamestown on Wednesday, May 10. About 85 students in the eighth grade Omega house at Jamestown Middle School conducted the service learning project on Wednesday with the city of Jamestown and the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality to promote keeping the James River clean of waste. The annual project to paint the message at storm sewer drains also includes students picking up garbage in the same areas, and they picked up 460 pounds of garbage, said Tiffany Dooley, eighth grade Earth science teacher.
