JHS students honored Dollars for Scholars scholarships

Scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement, including volunteer activity.

Forty-five scholarships totaling $44,600 were awarded by Jamestown Dollars for Scholars, a program of Scholarship America, at the Jamestown High School awards ceremony on May 4.

Jamestown Dollars awarded the following new scholarships for 2022: Knights of Columbus Scholarship, Smile Studio Scholarship, Dan Poland Machine Scholarship and eight Dollars for Scholars Achievement Scholarships.

Jamestown Dollars for Scholars chapter was formerly known as the Jamestown Public School Foundation, which was organized in 1981 as a 501(c)(3).
