Katie Ryan-Anderson led the Dec. 7 meeting attended by 29 members at the Quality Inn & Suites. Don Caine led group singing accompanied by Sharon Caine. Jo Anderson collected “Happy Dollars” for the Salvation Army. Kiwanis members will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on Dec. 12 and Dec. 18.
The club held a holiday fundraiser to support the Kiwanis Club. Club members, family and friends were invited to purchase items from three Kiwanis members who have home-based businesses on the side. Sandy Franke sells Tastefully Simple, Chelsea Francis sells Thirty One, and Ryan-Anderson sells Norwex cleaning supplies. A portion of the sales will go to support the administrative side of the budget, which finances items such as scholarships, meals, and T-shirts for Kiwanis members.
Michelle Ascheman will introduce speaker Victoria Christensen, who will be speaking on horses at the Dec. 21 Kiwanis noon luncheon at the Quality Inn & Suites.
The 45 members of Jamestown Kiwanis meet each Monday at noon. They welcome
new members to join the club whose mission is to improve the world one child and one community at a time. For more information, visit www.Facebook.com/JamestownKiwanis , email JamestownKiwanis@gmail.com , or call Amanda Thrift at 701-253-3124.
