ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Single Prime Bids for the City of Jamestown Civic Center Retractable Wall Replacement, Jamestown, North Dakota will be received at the Offices of the City of Jamestown, herein called the "Owner", located at 102 3rd Avenue NE, Jamestown, ND 58401, until 2:00 P.M, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at which time all qualified bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Commission Meeting Room, City of Jamestown.
Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at Jamestown Civic Center on April 16, 2019 at 10:00 am, during which a site examination will be held. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be in attendance. All Bidders and suppliers are invited.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: The office of the City of Jamestown, Jamestown, North Dakota, the offices of ARTEKTA Architects, Fargo, North Dakota.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by contacting the office of ARTEKTA Architects, located in Fargo, North Dakota, phone number (701) 526-3693. PDF version of the Contract Documents is available free of charge via email.
The Scope of Work is the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to construct retractable wall assemblies in good workman like and substantial manner and to the satisfaction of the Owner. The Project shall be delivered utilizing a Single Prime Contractor/Supplier (No Mechanical or Electrical work).
Each Bidder must submit with his bid a certified or cashier's check, payable to the City of Jamestown for at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid, which check and the amount thereof, shall be forfeited to the City of Jamestown, as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon letting of the contract to him, shall fail to enter into the contract so let. The bidder may submit a bidder's bond in lieu of a certified check.
Each Bidder shall hold a current and valid North Dakota Contractors License of the proper class issued by the Secretary of State, and shall enclose a copy of the license or certificate of renewal of the license in the same envelope as the Bidders Security Bond.
Each Bidder shall submit in a second envelope the Bid form supplied with the Bidding Documents or through addendum.
All bids shall be sealed, shall contain a bid deposit of the type specified above, and may be posted or filed with the City of Jamestown during normal office hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or hand carried to the meeting prior to the scheduled bid opening as specified above. Envelope face shall clearly state Project Title, Bid Time/Date, and Contractor Information. Postal delivered bids shall be the responsibility of the sender to ensure the sealed bid has been received. No Fax bids shall be accepted.
No bidder shall withdraw his bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, except with the consent of the City of Jamestown. All construction items covered in the contract shall be completed by Friday December 13, 2019.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
