A Special Meeting was held on April 30, 2019 at 6:15 at the Streeter City Hall to discuss the Gary Horst Building.
Aldermen present: Doug Wittmier, Audrey Ruff, Bryan Spitzer, Lloyd Veil.
Mayor Jeff Williams called the meeting to order.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss keeping our gazebo property safe for children from the adjoining property.
Gary Horst was contacted to remove the loose debris on our property but feels he does not need to do anything with it at this time.
Council discussed putting up a fence to block access to the adjoining property. Doug made a motion to contact Zimmerman Law to make sure that the debris on our property can be removed by the City. The motion was seconded by Lloyd.
Lloyd made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Audrey. All were in favor, motion carried.

The May City Council Meeting was held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 5:30 pm at the Streeter City Hall.
Aldermen present: Lloyd Veil, Bryan Spitzer, Audrey Ruff, Doug Wittmier Mayor - Jeff Williams called the meeting to order.
Motion to add Audrey and Doug to the agenda by Audrey, seconded by Lloyd.
April meeting minutes were read and approved by Doug, seconded by Audrey.

Kenny Wentz and Kenny Hoffer were in attendance for the park board. Discussion was held regarding the position held by Leroy Wieland. As he will be moving to Napoleon the board will be looking to appoint someone to the position to fill the remainder of Leroys term. Kenny Wentz reported that they will be planting several flower beds around the park entrance, bathrooms and campground. There are 12 tree stumps that need to be ground out before mowing begins. A new freezer will be purchased for fish cleaning. The park has decided to allow non campers to use the freezer if a donation is given. The park bathrooms are also available for use by non campers for a small donation. Last year the park installed new electrical outlets for the campground and are looking to upgrade eight more. The city will be advertising for city workers to mow, trim and do cleanup. Contact Kaye City Auditor to apply. Kenny Hoffer reported that they will be putting a 30 x 45 basketball court at the park. The city will be contacting local clubs to see if they are interested in doing some city cleanup as a fundraiser.
Water, Sewer, Garbage, Lagoon Report: AR aging summary There were 3 letters sent out for delinquent water payments. One delinquent account will be turned off. The report was approved by Audrey and seconded by Doug.
Water Report: Lloyd reported that Water Smith needs to come back and put another pipe in for the well. They recommended replacing the motor as well. Lloyd will look at purchasing a new motor. The chlorine system needed to be redone. Everything else has been going well. There was a motion to accept the report by Audrey, seconded by Bryan.
Lloyd made a motion to accept the bills, seconded by Bryan.
Streeter Suites & Apartments: Audrey gave the report for April. Everything is going well and all apartments are full at this time. Audrey reported that the grass area west of the apartment building will be filled with rock or crushed pavement to create a better parking area for the tenants. Two new entry rugs were also purchased. Doug made a motion to accept Audreys report, seconded by Bryan.
New kitchen tile will be installed this week as well as the inline water heater will be repaired. This is all work covered under insurance from the water damage.
The preconstruction meeting for the Housing project is scheduled for May 13 @ 9:00 am.
The city is looking for a Water Commissioner Assistant. The job will be limited hours to obtain training for the future Water Commissioner/Maintenance Position. The city is also looking for part time city workers for mowing and cleanup. Job openings will be posted. Doug made a motion to raise Lloyds wage to $15.00 per hour, seconded by Audrey, all were in favor.
The city would like to thank Schlecht & Schulz Construction for their donation of $490.00 for trim boards and labor to help keep the ceiling tiles from falling. The Streeter Lions also donated $1315.00 for 3 - two tier chair carts for the hall and rent for the Easter Egg Hunt.
All residents were sent a flyer with information for City Cleanup. We have found someone to take the appliances and metal for us at no cost to the city.
A letter will be sent with the next water billing to address the duties of the City Auditor.
Doug will be getting ready mix patch to fix pot holes on some of the city streets.
Audrey reported that there is a slide at the park that needs to be repaired or removed.
The June City Council meeting will be June 3rd @ 5:30 pm.
