There has been a change to the Medina Home Rule charter, the words the Clerk of District Court for Cass County should not be in the charter and have been removed
Section 8: INAUGURATION OF GOVERNMENT UNDER THIS CHARTER. If a majority of the qualified electors of the city voting on the question vote to ratify this charter, the provisions of this charter shall go into effect upon the filing of the charter by the governing body with the Secretary of State, the Clerk of the District Court for Cass County and the office of the City Auditor. Said filing shall be completed as soon as reasonably possible under the circumstances but not later than ninety days after the election ratifying the charter.

DRINKING WATER QUALITY
This Public Notice is to notify the Medina residents and commercial businesses of the availability of the Annual Drinking Water Quality report which the State Health Department requires the City of Medina to do annually and is available for person(s) who wish to see the report. The report is submitted to the State Health Department annually. A copy of the report can be obtained from Bradley Moser, city maintenance personal. Copies are also available at the auditors office. Copies are posted in all business sites in the city.

CITY OF MEDINA
June 3, 2019 7:00 p.m.
The regular meeting of the City of Medina, Stutsman County, was called to order at 7:10 P.M. in the Memorial Hall by Mayor Gunderson. Present were Mayor Myron Gunderson, Council Members Joe Deede, Dean Moser, Auditor Sandy Ackerman. Absent were Council Members Mitch Gunderson and Daniel Olson.
May minutes were read; C.M. Dean made a motion to accept the minutes with spelling corrections for Vanhoven to Vandehoven and truck loan to truck load, seconded by C.M. Joe.
Visitors: Dennis Kramlich, Bill Busch and Tom with Moore Engineering.
Dennis was asking about putting a Radar Speed Control Sign where the speed limit starts at 25MPH. Many people that do not slow down, radar speed signs have been proven effective at slowing down speeders by alerting them of the speed they are traveling.
Tom has a project update: Bids for the project will be published 6/4/19, 6/11/19, and 6/18/19
Project will be bid on 6/27/19
Bids will be reviewed, and if bid results are good will be awarded on 7/1/19
Construction likely to start end of July/beginning of August
Final completion date July 31, 2020.
Requested to have a Resolution directing assessments to be levied, C.M. Dean made the motion seconded by C.M. Joe. Motion carried.
Motion was made by C.M. Joe to pay Moore Engineering invoice #20785 for the mount of $22,008.90, seconded by C.M. Dean. Motion carried.
Brads report: The Quality Water Report (CCR) needs to be published in the newspaper before 6/15/19.
The sweeper has been fixed but it needs brushes.
Railroad hasnt mowed and Brad asked if we were going to cut it again, the last time it was done there was damage to the mower.
Meters are being replaced and we need more ordered.
At this time water meters are read every 3 months, from now on they will be read every month. The only time they wont be read is if we have a lot of snow in the winter and it is hard to get to the meters. We will see how this works for now.
