Schauer’s Celebrate 65th Anniversary

Sixty-five years of loving, caring, and sharing. Kermit Schauer and Phyllis Sayler were married on October 16, 1955 in Streeter. They were both born and raised in rural North Dakota. In 1977 they moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico. They have five children, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Phyllis was busy providing a warm and loving home. She is also an expert seamstress and a great cook. She baked cookies with her grandchildren and baked cookies for soldiers being deployed. Phyllis has also worked for many years with Kermit in his business.

Kermit served in the military during the Korean War. After the war, he had few different jobs before starting his own accounting firm in Jamestown, ND. In 1977 they sold the accounting firm and New Mexico State University. Kermit is a strong advocate for military personnel and an avid ham radio operator.

Each day Kermit and Phyllis celebrate the blessings in life, marriage, and happiness living. Help us in wishing them a happy anniversary.
