A summer kids' event named Monumental VBS will be hosted at Jamestown First Church of the Nazarene from June 19 to June 23.
At Monumental, kids explore the sun-baked Southwestern desert as they dig into God's love. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God's love, and test out sciency-fun gizmos they'll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called "God Sightings."
Each day concludes with a "Canyon Closing" that gets everyone involved in living what they've learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8:20 p.m.
Monumental is for kids from 3 years old to those who've just finished the fifth grade and will run from 6 to 8:40 p.m. each day. For more information, call 250-1367.
