The Jamestown Association for Childcare Services helps families find childcare in the area. The group also helps child care providers improve their skill set, said Kari Kapp, co-president, speaking at the Kiwanis meeting.

Kapp is one of only two nationally accredited childcare providers in the state.

Twenty-five child care providers are members of JACs, which is 38 years old. Licensed home providers work together to host educational opportunities, advocacy and network with each other. The group meets every other month, September through May.

Twenty-four members and guests attended the July 8 Kiwanis meeting. Chuck Axtman and Tom Burchill led music. Si Liechty collected "Happy Dollars."
