Trucks with fresh vegetables, baked goods and perishable foods will be stopping in Carrington and Cooperstown on Tuesday, July 23, in order to provide free food to assist anyone in need in the area.

The Mobile Food Pantry, established in 2008, is a program created by the Great Plains Food Bank and accompanies the Perishable Food Distribution program. Both programs work to provide fresh food and produce for rural communities struggling with access to food.

The Mobile Food Pantry will be at Grace Lutheran Church from 10 to 11 a.m. in Carrington before traveling to Cooperstown where food will be served from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of True Value.
