OK Club members play cards, games
The OK Club met at the Legacy Center April 17 with 11 members present. Sharon Hatlewick presided over the meeting in the absence of the president. The members recited the pledge to the flag. Janet Van Bruggen read the story “Roots of the Problem” from a Spring Garden magazine. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were approved as read. Sonia Berg sent a get-well card to Marlys Boughton from the club. Patti DeBuck won the meal ticket door prize drawing.
Bingo was played with Harriet Kartes and Lorraine Gall winning the large frame. Berg won the small frame and the blackout game. In whist, MaryLee O’meara won high prize, DeBuck won low and Elaine Heinrich took a trick with a deuce. In pinochle, Berg won high, and Gerald Van Bruggen won low. Norman and DeLette Winkelman furnished cake and ice cream for the afternoon coffee hour in honor of her birthday on April 25.
The next OK Club meeting will be Tuesday, May 1, at the Legacy Center in Jamestown. Guests are welcome to attend.
