Edgewood discussed at Rotary meeting
Tonya Perkins, executive director, Edgewood Assisted Living and Memory Care facility in Jamestown, talked about the facility at the recent Rotary meeting. The facility is the only one in Jamestown which offers memory care in an assisted living environment, which has a capacity for 40 residents. Currently there are 19 residents receiving services. Perkins explained how the memory care unit differs from a memory care unit in a skilled care facility. All of its staff have had specialized training on how to care for residents, with memory issues. The campus also has 40 assisted living apartments, Perkins said. She welcomes visitors to come and visit as well as tour the facility. For more information, contact the staff at Edgewood.
Erin Paulson welcomed everyone to the meeting, Katie Andersen gave the table blessing, and Tim Ottmar collected “Happy Dollars” for Rotary projects. Dave Smette gave a Rotary moment on the recent International Rotary Convention in Toronto, Canada, that he and his wife attended.
Christian Cairy has today’s program, Mark Reeves the table blessing, Larry Kopp will lead in singing, and Eric Weber is the sergeant-at-arms.
