Senior Menu, Activities March 18-22

James River Senior Center serves meals Monday through Friday at noon at Center I and 11:30 a.m. at Gardenette and James House, and at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Streeter Senior Center in Streeter.

Meal cost: suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older; $6.75 for those under 60. Reserve at least one day in advance by calling 252-2882.

Frozen meals are also available for people over 60 in Stutsman County.


Monday: barbecue chicken, oven browned potato, baked squash, royal anne cherries

Tuesday: pepper onion steak, whipped potato with gravy,mixed vegetables, orange/pineapple cup

Wednesday: creamed turkey over baking powder biscuits, green peas, tossed salad with dressing, fresh fruit cup

Thursday: ham balls with pineapple, sweet potato, country trio vegetable, chilled applesauce

Friday: Polish sausage, baby red potato, french cut green beans, cherry pie

*100 percent whole wheat bread, margarine, milk and coffee are served with all meals

Wednesday: 9:30-11:45 a.m., foot care; 10:30 a.m., Alzheimer's Support Group; 1 p.m., bingo; 2:45 p.m., St. Patty's Day, celebrate first day of spring

Thursday: 9-10 a.m., Bone Builders; 1 p.m., making spring crafts with Sara from Edgewood

Friday: 1 p.m., pinochle
