The Jamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary met May 6 with 22 members present and Eunice Sahr presiding. Char Freeberg presented a program on the Jamestown Area Grief Support Team. CEO Mike Delfs reported that JRMC is ranked in the 92 percentile for best hospitals in the U.S. of similar size. Lisa Jackson said the grand opening for the new Cancer Center is June 13, with self- guided tours following the ceremony. The first patients are scheduled for June 17.
Service chair reports were given. Marlene Axtman reported the Gift Shoppe will offer a new line of clothing soon and is planning a fashion show to promote this new brand. Volunteers are always needed in all service areas.
It was decided to possibly hold a public recruitment event to be tied in with the new Cancer Center. Sandy Hill will conduct the August Cash Calendar fundraiser. Cindy Grimm and Eunice Sahr will co-chair the Tea For All Seasons again, to be held Sept. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held during the June meeting for Ernest Hubacher and Helen Hample, both whom were lifetime members.
Gloria Harr won the door prize. The board meeting is scheduled for June 18 at 1 p.m.
