The Anne Carlsen Center received a $1 million donation during a banquet at Harold Newman Arena on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The donation came from Reuben and Clarice Liechty as a contribution to the center's Pathway for the Future campaign, a fundraiser to finance a new campus located near the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

"It's amazing, the generosity from the Liechty family is unmatched in the Jamestown community," said Eric Wilkie, chief development officer for ACC. "The donation is mission changing."

The new campus is estimated to cost $41 million, with the Pathway for the Future campaign having a goal of $12 million in donations. The remaining $29 million will be paid for by the ACC.

"The Anne Carlsen Center is very important for this city, to bring what they bring to Jamestown is just incredible," said Clarice Liechty. "It's been here for 80 years and it's very important to continue to give back to the valuable things in our community."
