Kiwanis Lt. Gov Carol Nitschke installed CJ Hager as the new president of Jamestown Kiwanis.
The new Kiwanis year began this month.
In addition to president, Nitschke also installed Hayley Wolf as secretary, Searle Swedlund as treasurer and Sara Griego as past president. Installed board members include Krysten Perkins, Masaki Ova, Amanda Thrift and Katie Ryan-Anderson.
Twenty-four members and guests attended the regular Kiwanis meeting on Oct. 7.
Hager collected "Happy Dollars." Don and Sharon Caine led music.
Kiwanis is organizing its annual Kiwanis Against Hunger event. The club is raising $15,000 in hopes of packaging at least 60,000 meals. In the eight-year history of the event, the club has packed 1.2 million meals. All meals stay in North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.
- Kiwanis Against Hunger is set for Saturday, Oct. 26. Volunteers are still needed.
- The governor’s visit is set for Nov. 2 at University of Jamestown.
