A lawsuit filed by the Frontier Village Association against the city of Jamestown was dismissed Thursday after a stipulation of dismissal was filed by the attorney representing the Frontier Village Association.
In the stipulation, Matthew Sorensen, attorney for Frontier Village Association, said the action had been resolved and asked it be dismissed "with prejudice and without cost or disbursement to any party." An order of dismissal was signed by Judge Mark Blumer of Southeast District Court.
Frontier Village Association filed a complaint on Oct. 30, seeking a temporary restraining order preventing the city of Jamestown from interfering with its plans to transfer assets of the Frontier Village to Perham Pioneer Village in Minnesota. During a Frontier Village Association meeting on Nov. 1, the group instead voted to transfer the assets of Frontier Village to the city of Jamestown.
Details of that transfer are still being worked out, according to Jamestown Mayor Dwaine Heinrich speaking at the Nov. 4, City Council meeting.
