The Montpelier Older Kids Club met on Jan. 7 at the Legacy Center for the noon meal with 10 members in attendance. President Elaine Heinrich opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. The secretary and treasurer’s report were read and approved. There was a sympathy card that was read by Sonja Berg from Leonard Limesand, also, a get-well card will be sent to Lyle (Bobby Gay) Perleberg. Berg has been providing the cards and stamps for any correspondence that she sends out, and wishes to continue with this. There was no old business.

For new business, dues were collected for the year by members. The door prize, a meal ticket, was won by Heinrich. A dessert was served by Dottie Murchie in memory of her husband. Motion to adjourn meeting by Berg, seconded by Patti DeBuck.

Bingo was called by Sharon Hatlewick. The small picture frame was won by Jerry VanBuggen and Heinrich; the large picture frame and blackout were won by Janet VanBruggen. Whist was played with Marlys Boughton winning high and deuce and Lorraine Gall winning low. In pinochle, Janet VanBuggen took high, and low was won by Jerry VanBruggen.

The next meeting will be at noon Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Legacy Center, with Heinrich providing a dessert. All from Jamestown or the surrounding areas are welcome to attend.
