The OK Club met Nov. 15 at the Legacy Center with nine members present. President Marlys Boughton opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Janet Van Bruggen read a short story titled "Pancakes." The secretary and treasurer's reports were approved as read.
Election of officers for 2017 was held. Gerald Van Bruggen moved that the same officers that served in 2016 be re-elected, and Elaine Heinrich seconded it. At the Dec. 6 Christmas meeting, members will bring Christmas goodies for the afternoon coffee hour and wear something Christmassy. Christmas cards will be sent to members who no longer attend, inviting them to come to the Christmas party if they can. There will be no business meeting. The extra time will be used for bingo, cards and having a good time.
Norman Winkelman won the meal ticket door prize drawing.
Bingo was played with Gerald Van Bruggen winning the small and large picture frames and the blackout game. In whist, DeLette Winkelman won high, and Boughton won low. In pinochle, Harriet Kartes won high, and Janet Van Bruggen won low.
Boughton furnished lemon-filled cake with whipped topping for the afternoon coffee hour. This was in honor of her 88th birthday on Nov. 29.
