The OK Club met Sept. 19 at the Legacy Center with nine members present. President Marlys Boughton opened the meeting and led the pledge to the flag. She read a listing of “Things I’ve Learned in Life.” A correction was made to last month’s minutes. It was the funeral of Janet Van Bruggen’s sister-inlaw, not sister, that Janet and Gerald Van Bruggen attended. The rest of the secretary and treasurer’s minutes were approved as read. Patti DeBuck won the drawing for the meal ticket door prize. Bingo was played with DeBuck winning the small picture frame. Harriet Kartes won the large frame and the blackout game. In whist, DeLette Winkelman won high and Lorraine Gall won low. In pinochle, Elaine Heinrich won high, and Kartes won low. Boughton and Winkelman furnished the afternoon lunch. With three October birthdays coming up, the group celebrated Norman Winkelman’s birthday early. He will be 85 years old Oct. 14. The next meeting of the OK Club will be at noon on Oct. 3 at the Legacy Center in Jamestown. Guests are welcome.
