Local titleholders will be competing for the state crown and arriving in Jamestown on Friday. During the pageant weekend, local titleholders will be given a proclamation by the mayor on Saturday morning. They will be styling in a fashion show along with the Trendsetters at the Buffalo Mall at 2 p.m. Saturday in their own fashions that tell a story about them and promote the pageant fundraiser "A Change in Sight" to help the cause that Mrs. America April Lufrui platforms. A photo shoot and film shoot are planned at various locations throughout Jamestown that Saturday as well.

Mary Schwartzkopf, Mrs. North Dakota-America 2011, will be leading the festivities as well her sister queen, Mrs. Iowa, who will join her during the weekend and participate in the pageant show.

The pageant show event on Sunday starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Jamestown Civic Center in Jamestown. Tickets can be purchased at the door. A cake and coffee/punch reception will follow.

The Mrs. North Dakota America Pageant is the official state preliminary to the national Mrs. America Pageant. It is also a stage from which women in North Dakota can promote family values, women's causes and local charities.
